For the Communication and Information Center (kiz), we are looking for a Computer Scientist in the field of digital educational technologies (m/f/d). We are a dynamic and innovative educational institution committed to the use of modern technologies. Our goal is to create an excellent learning environment through the use of advanced video management systems such as OpenCast and comprehensive learning management systems such as Moodle.

Your Profile:

  1. Degree (university) or master's degree in computer science, media computer science, or comparable subjects
  2. Detailed knowledge of audio and video technology, project planning software, configuration and operation of IT hardware, the Linux operating system including shell scripting, Java, and web technologies (PHP and Apache), as well as data modeling and SQL databases
  3. Basic knowledge of the BSI's IT baseline protection manual and IP networks
  4. Strong teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure, independent working style, and strong communication skills
  5. Very good written and spoken German and English language skills

Your Tasks:

  1. Further development and continuous improvement of the technical concept and operating model of the video management system (OpenCast) as well as the administration and further development of the learning management system (Moodle)
  2. Evaluating new technologies and integrating them into the services where necessary
  3. 2nd level support
  4. Order processing with external service providers
  5. Participation in meetings of the nationwide user groups
