Partner with the best

As a Quality Engineer, you will be in Brush Power Generation Quality Department based in Pennsylvania. This position will involve travelling to suppliers and/or our Brush Power Generation sites overseas. Supplier travel is to audit suppliers, perform inspection of Brush Power Generation product and follow up/close out non-conformances.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing Quality Management Systems. Work to develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes.
  • NCR management including RCA investigation with the 8D approach and projects lessons learned
  • Leading the auditing process with internal, customer, vendors and supporting audit being done by 3rd party
  • Handling of all incoming and outgoing Calibration of equipment. Communication with external calibration facilities, approval of invoices, ownership of Calibration tracking spreadsheet. Collection of all equipment to send out for calibration.
  • Supplier Quality Management (lead supplier qualification, cooperate on supplier evaluation)
  • Creation of Supplier audit schedule, Supplier audit questions, conducting Supplier audits, creating Supplier audit reports and CAR's related to Supplier audits.
  • Incoming inspection of parts and components including supplier certificate management
  • Every Job/Project ITP review and approval, Job/Project midpoint Quality review and release, and Job/Project Final Quality review and release
  • Daily communication with production team and other departments
  • Internal temperature verifications
  • To monitor NDT, brazing qualifications, and electrical testing requirements and recertifications

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a technical degree from an accredited school and/or 4+ years proven experience quality within a manufacturing environment.
  • Have the ability to use a range of manual measuring equipment
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Have good analytical skills and problem solving
  • Have good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style and able to effectively interface with all levels of internal organization and internal customers
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • An accreditation as Internal/External auditor for ISO 9001/14001/45001 would be advantageous
