We are looking for an experienced and engaged Talent Acquisition leader to drive our recruitment strategies, ensuring we attract, engage, and hire top talent to support our growth. The Director/Senior Director will be a hands-on partner to hiring leaders, a brand ambassador for Kailera, and a strategic thinker capable of implementing best-in-class recruitment processes. With a deep understanding of the biotech space, the ideal candidate will have a strong network and a proven track record of recruiting within the biotech/pharmaceutical space. We are seeking someone with a passion for building, who can roll up their sleeves and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a Hybrid role based in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Leadership: Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Kailera’s growth plans and organizational goals.
  • Employer Brand Ambassador: Serve as the face of Kailera’s employer brand, representing the company at industry events, through networks, and in interactions with candidates.
  • Full-cycle Recruiting: This is a hands-on role that requires full-cycle recruitment responsibilities with a req load in a lean and agile People & Culture team. Perform all aspects of the recruitment process, from job description creation, sourcing, and interviewing to candidate selection and offer negotiations.
  • Process Implementation: Design and refine scalable interview processes and strategies that ensure consistency, fairness, and efficiency.
  • Recruitment Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, understanding their needs and providing tailored recruitment support.
  • Talent Attraction: Develop and implement creative and effective sourcing strategies to attract top-tier talent in the biotech industry.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on talent trends in the biotech space, ensuring we remain competitive in attracting and retaining key talent.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years+ of talent acquisition experience
  • Demonstrated success in the biotech/pharma space, within clinical-stage organizations. Commercial experience is a strong plus.
  • Technical recruitment and agency experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to attract and hire top talent, particularly in highly specialized technical fields.
  • Strong network within the biotech industry.
  • Experience developing and implementing scalable talent strategies.
  • Experience with Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on approach, with a willingness to manage individual requisitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and the broader P&C team.
  • Experience with employer branding initiatives and the ability to act as a company ambassador.
  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline or related field, preferred.

Please note the compensation range reflects the Director level.

At Kailera, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture. How we treat our people is reflective of this commitment. We share the pay range for this particular role with the actual base salary depending upon factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, and experience.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $285,000 USD
