Overview of Position:
The Lead HRIS Analyst (Workday) will play a vital role in supporting HUB’s HCM business processes by leveraging their expertise in Workday and related HR technologies. The primary objective of this role will be to ensure the efficient operation, configuration, and continuous improvement of the Workday Human Capital Management System to meet the needs of our employees and the business. This position is hands-on and requires strong knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Workday (specifically) and experience with other Human Resources functions (i.e. Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence, Compensation etc.) This role will also serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and subject matter expert ensuring operational effectiveness, data integrity, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include:
Subject Matter Expert
Leads Workday configuration and solutioning with a focus on dashboards & reports.
Coaches and mentors HR Technology Analysts – sharing Workday expertise.
Supports Workday release management: reviews release summaries, conducts breakout session with COEs and manages release testing. Identifies enhancement solutions and impacts to downstream systems.
Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applies key technologies.
Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes.
Evaluate, build, and maintain all elements related to our HRIS systems including but not limited to Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence, HCM, Reporting and Dashboards.
Support ad-hoc reporting requests across the organization.
Assists in identifying new HR needs and the software products with a focus on data and analytics.
Responsible for driving innovation and process improvement to support long term human resources business goals and process improvement.
Document standard processes/procedures; create user guides and checklists for functional practitioners.
Respond to and resolve HRIS tickets submitted in a timely manner.
Training:
Providing technical support and serving as a subject matter expert to educate system end users on how to navigate and use the system, as needed.
Developing and maintaining process documentation.
Training new system users as well as developing user procedures, job aids, guidelines, and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Human Resources, or Business)
5+ years of experience in an HRIS analyst role in a Workday environment
Workday configuration, implementation, and/or consulting experience in 2 or more modules including HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Performance & Talent Management
Workday partner or Pro Certification strongly desired
Excellent analytical skills; ability to collect and analyze data and present findings
Excellent communication skills are keys for this role, as this role will frequently interact with varying levels of leadership and will need to evaluate the expressed and un-expressed needs for proper requirements.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor at all times
Solution oriented and solid business acumen
Critical thinking skills and being able to work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Solid ability in identifying and resolving problems in a timely, effective manner
Insurance industry experience an asset
Experience with change management a plus
Ability to travel (10%)
