Truss Component Assembler I

Position Overview
This position involves assembling truss components and stocking materials at Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber and Lyman Lumber Companies. The Truss Component Assembler I will work the third shift with earning potential up to $27/hour.

Essential Job Duties

• Lay out truss supplies and materials and stock plates for component set-up.
• Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Read shop drawings and monitor production workflow process.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment.
• Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Participate in and complete assigned trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Minimum education required- High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum experience required- Prior carpentry experience helpful
• Special skills required- Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
• Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures and lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Available for overtime as needed.
