Job Description

The Department:

The Department Invesco Managed Accounts (IMA) is a well-established provider of separate account portfolio management across investment grade fixed income markets. IMA focuses exclusively on building and running portfolios in a customized, low-cost and tax-efficient manner. IMA exists because investors deserve a fixed income portfolio that is built, managed and serviced with their best interests in mind.

Your Role:

The Fixed Income Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting the product strategy initiatives of the Invesco Managed Accounts (IMA) Fixed Income SMA business by ensuring that IMA’s internal and external partners have what is required to meet client requests. As such, the Associate Product Manager will research product/competitive trends and craft compelling product content. The Associate Product Manager will be proficient in articulating IMA’s investment process, portfolio positioning, rationale for specific holdings within the portfolio and the benefits of separately managed accounts. This individual will work closely with IMA’s Product Manager, COO, Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, Client Service Team and distribution channels to provide product specific marketing and training support materials. This includes assisting with portfolio reviews, generating sample portfolios, training and product decks, and white papers. The Associate Product Manager will have a strong working knowledge of fixed income markets. Additionally, they will demonstrate the ability to think outside of the box with regard to marketing fixed income strategies as well as the ability to be flexible and re-focus quickly as business needs evolve.

Product Management/Infrastructure:

  • The Associate Product Manager owns strategy level data relevant to the product, marketing and distribution processes for each respective strategy.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring strategy specific taxonomy is perpetually up to date and consistent with the IMA investment philosophy.
  • The Associate Product Manager will have an intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each investment product supported - This includes a detailed understanding of current investment themes, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes, past and current positioning, the near-term outlook and performance attribution of the strategies.
  • Support distribution with training, sample portfolios, answering product questions, marketing materials, and meeting material support.
  • Lead the ongoing internal and external experience for our products and work with marketing to support strategy specific content.

Product Marketing:

  • Ensure that positioning and unique voices of IMA Fixed Income are clear and consistent throughout all forms of product marketing for clients and prospects.
  • This includes playing a prominent role in crafting product and client channel-specific marketing and meeting materials.
  • Ensure quarter-end and ad hoc updating of marketing resources for designated investment strategies are delivered on a timely and accurate basis - Be the liaison between compliance and legal on disclosures, approvals of content and material.
  • Prepare and deliver quarter-end client deliverables.
  • Work with the RFP/DDQ team to complete annual, quarterly and ad hoc client requests.

The experience you bring:

  • Strong investment acumen, understanding of economics and capital markets with demonstrated solid understanding of municipal and taxable fixed income markets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment while managing many different projects and tasks at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; the ability to effectively communicate complex topics.
  • Strong work ethic and drive to succeed with an entrepreneurial spirit; focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrated product marketing experience across mediums and client channels.
  • Knowledge of separately managed accounts both model and manager traded.
  • At least 1-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication skills and being comfortable interacting with various constituencies within the firm.
  • CFA a plus.
