ABOUT THE COURT

Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,800 full-time Court employees. ABOUT THE POSITION

Human Resources Analyst is the entry-level class in the Human Resources Analyst class series. Initially, incumbents perform professional assignments in one or more human resources program areas while learning court policies and procedures, specific techniques, and legal requirements related to personnel management. As experience is gained, duties are performed with significant independence under general supervision. Incumbents are expected to carry out their responsibilities with initiative and creativity, exercising sound professional judgment and problem-solving skills.

The current vacancy is in Health & Safety team, and this recruitment will also be used to fill future vacancies in Human Resources.

TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES

This position is eligible for partial telework following an initial training period.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify, you must meet one of the following requirements at the time of application:

OPTION I: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university AND Two (2) years of responsible clerical experience in one or more human resources functions or completion of an internship performing Analyst-level human resources work.

OPTION II: Six (6) years of responsible clerical experience in one or more human resources functions.

Clerical work involves performing day-to-day office support tasks, such as reviewing and processing documents, entering data into computer systems, organizing and maintaining files, answering telephones, addressing customer questions, and similar work.

Analyst-level work is defined as work performed to assist and support the organization's management by conducting research and making recommendations for the solution of problems such as organization, use of personnel or resources, budget allocation and funds, workload and/or workload fluctuations, or programs and procedures for accomplishing work objectives.

OPTION III: A post-graduate degree will be accepted for the experience requirement.
