Primary Talent Partners has a new TSM Claims Specialist opening with our large IT client based in Vernon Hills, IL. This will be a 100% remote role. The role is a 6 month, FT contract with high potential to extend and/or convert.
Pay: $16.25/hr; W2 Contract, no PTO, no Benefits
Description:
The TSM Claims Specialist supports the overall operations of the transportation services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting internal customers with transportation inquiries including freight quoting and processing, managing and analyzing of freight claims. This position works closely with carriers and other internal departments to analyze and identify claim trends and implement solutions to mitigate carrier claims.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Provide support with respect to internal and external transportation inquiries.
• Partner and communicate with carriers and stakeholders on obtaining information for freight claim processing and claim status updates.
• Prepare and submit supporting documentation and evidence to insurance company for reimbursement.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding outbound freight.
• Monitor and maintain carrier performance reporting based on key performance indicators (KPI).
• Communicate production related issues to internal stakeholders, including but not, limited to IT, Customer Relations, ICAN, and Logistics Compliance team.
• Ensure thorough communication regarding high value, high risk, and priority shipments to all core carriers to minimize risk
• Process tasks from SPS (Sales Productivity Suite) and enter freight claims daily.
• Update claims report on a weekly basis by investigating and working with carriers for status update.
• Analyze historical claims data to identify trends.
• Identify and implement preventative measures to minimize claims.
• Provide support for inbound related activities including tracking shipments.
• Communicate to Sales VP's, Directors, and Account Managers on various TSM freight initiatives.
• Participate in sales focus groups and presentations.
• Conduct regular monthly cadence meetings with all carriers, discuss overall performance, identify areas of opportunity, and execute on action items.
• Review and calculate Sales' Gross Profit reversals.
• Take lead on investigating and evaluate various AS400 production issues and problem solve with IT when needed.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3 years' experience in Logistics, Transportation, Distribution, or Customer Service Experience

• Basic Financial Acumen
• Ability to effectively interact with peers, internal and external Stakeholders, and Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong knowledge of Excel (formulas, graphs, and tables).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide audience of key stakeholders.
• Critical attention to detail and solid creative problem-solving skills.
• History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
• Detail oriented and well organized with demonstrated ability to do in-depth research.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate Degree
• Experience with software database programs (SQL Pyramid, Power BI or Cube)
- 2 years customer service experience.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and/or tracking of an order;
- Contacting vendors for pricing, order status, tracking etc;
- Expediting a pick on an order or any other distribution request;
- Expediting of drop ship orders as needed, freight quotes for drop-shipments, parcel and heavy weight shipments;
- Estimated delivery dates or lead times on products;
- Updates and status of repair orders.
- Building solid relationships with other internal departments and vendors.
- Evaluation of current processes for improvement and work on recommendations with management.
- Working as a team to manage daily workflow.
- Handling escalated customer issues when necessary.
- Answering emails and incoming calls from internal customers as needed.
