Position Overview : The primary function of this position is to provide quality service to clients. The Personal Lines Account Executive is responsible for writing Personal Lines policies, managing new and existing accounts, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position involves quoting new leads, communicating with underwriters, evaluating risks, processing policy changes, and retaining existing accounts. You must have excellent communication skills, be a licensed team player, and be organized with attention to detail. Our newly remodeled office is open Monday through Friday, 9AM-4:30PM EST.
Work Arrangement : This is a full-time, hybrid position reporting to our office located in Ronkonkoma, NY.
Pay Range: $60,000-$70,000 Annually
Professional Responsibilities :
  • Write Personal Lines policies and service existing accounts effectively.
  • Quote new leads using various company websites to provide comprehensive coverage options.
  • Communicate and negotiate with underwriters to assess risks and obtain suitable coverage options.
  • Respond promptly to underwriting memos, ensuring accurate and complete information.
  • Evaluate risk locations thoroughly to determine appropriate coverage and mitigate potential risks.
  • Actively engage in marketing accounts to expand business opportunities and attract new clients.
  • Manage expiration lists efficiently, ensuring timely renewals and proactive action on expiring policies.
  • Rewrite non-renewals and canceled policies, focusing on retaining clients and mitigating risks.
  • Process changes on existing accounts promptly and accurately.
  • Handle payment transactions with clients, ensuring seamless and secure processing.
  • Work on retaining and rewriting existing accounts when faced with significant uprates.
  • Provide support by covering other desks during co-workers' absence to maintain seamless operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3-4 years Personal Lines Account Management experience
  • Valid Property & Casualty License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level of interpersonal skills with a client-service mind-set
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with team members and other departments
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, & Teams
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information
