Glanua Group, and Glanua Industrial have restructured the business across Ireland and the UK to ensure efficient delivery of operations activities across multiple portfolios. The role of Project Director is specifically responsible for Operations on our Major Project and will be pivotal in the growth of Glanua Industrial UK business.

The Project Director is responsible for the financial account of the Project, including its day-to-day maintenance and reporting in the UK Industrial business. Responsibilities include successful project delivery, health and safety performance, achieving financial KPI’s, and meeting client objectives. The Project Director will collaborate with senior management functions such as HSQE, Finance, HR, Sales, and other Operations Directors within the Group. They will manage a team including operations managers, project managers, design engineers, project engineers, commercial teams, and site management.

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Industrial Operations Director on monthly performance ensuring adequate control and monitoring of progress and risk.
  • Track budgeted turnover and EBITDA targets.
  • Assist in project budget compilation.
  • Resource the Project adequately for successful delivery.
  • Make strategic decisions aligned with project objectives and provide leadership for implementation.
  • Implement continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPI's) and benchmarks.
  • Ensure activities meet organisational, legal, and statutory HSQE requirements.
  • Lead by example on Health, Safety, Quality, Environment & Wellbeing matters.
  • Assist in developing project plan objectives, turnover, and profit forecasts.
  • Maintain close liaison with Commercial Management on contractual issues.
  • Empower people to deliver excellence across business functions.
  • Promote Sustainability and Net Zero carbon targets.
  • Champion Innovation within the Project in line with business strategy.
Client Focus Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage client and Project stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships with Clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure regular liaison to meet and exceed expectations.
Operational Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Plan projects and identify resource needs.
  • Ensure successful Project delivery.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities for project delivery team.
  • Oversee recruitment and talent retention for project teams.
  • Manage contract negotiations with the commercial team and client.
  • Improve operational activities for Glanua.
  • Uphold company values within the industry.
  • Ensure effective staff allocation for project success.
  • Maintain business SOPs.
  • Drive construction progress and conduct regular meetings with stakeholders.
  • Encourage innovation across all functions.
  • Assist in devising cost-effective plans and methods for project completion.
  • Manage risks to avoid delays and increased costs.
  • Supervise project management teams effectively.
  • Ensure procurement meets turnover requirements.
  • Support the use of Digital Delivery tools and provide feedback for improvement.
Reporting Duties:
  • Create Monthly Performance Reports for the Project.
  • Provide Re-Budget Projections as necessary.
  • Prepare Quarterly Performance review reports.
Meeting Attendance Duties:
  • Attend necessary project meetings.
  • Participate in monthly Management Team Meetings.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 Updates with Industrial Operations Director.
