The Oregon Health Authority has a fantastic opportunity for a Health Policy & Analytics Deputy Director (HPPA2 classification) to join an excellent team. This is a full-time, permanent position with Health Policy and Analytics.
What you will do!
As the Deputy Director of HPA, you will work closely with the HPA director to develop, manage, implement, and evaluate the division’s strategic initiatives. The deputy director will also lead and coordinate division initiatives, working with critical partners both internal and external to OHA, act as a primary point of contact for OHA leadership, the Governor’s Office and partners. The deputy director will serve as the director’s delegate when the director is unavailable due to calendar conflicts and attend meetings that would typically include the director when the director is unable to be present. The deputy director will also serve as the director’s delegated executive sponsor for several significant areas of work aimed at advancing goals of the OHA Director and Governor’s Office. The deputy director will also work closely with the HPA director with more of an internal management focus. The deputy director will be responsible for aligning offices and programs within HPA on a day-to-day basis to implement the state’s vision and strategy for health reform, and ensure decisions are made that are consistent with the director’s vision and values.
Work Location: The work location for this position is based in Portland or Salem in an office, cubicle and/or an agreed upon remote work environment with significant use of a computer and video conferencing. The work location may be changed at any time at the discretion of the hiring manager. Confidentiality of information must be always maintained. Occasional travel will be required.

This position falls under the HPPA2 classification . The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $9,677.00 - $14,983.00 USD monthly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of management experience; OR Seven years of management experience.

- Expertise and demonstrated ability to oversee and lead multi-disciplinary projects across division functions.
- Track Record of successfully managing and aligning division functions with strategic goals.
Other Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of health care policy and planning.
- Expertise in program evaluation and strategic policy campaigns.
- Strong understanding of budget formulation and legislative analysis.
- Ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively.
