About our group:

We are part of the Media Development group. Our tasks and duties include processing experiments precisely as documented or requested by the Engineering staff. Interacting closely with the Engineering, Maintenance and Management teams to ensure we are making progress in developing the latest media technology.

The position will require the employee to work in a class 10 / 100 cleanroom environment, follow all procedures and protocols, provide feedback to coworkers/leads in a constructive/positive manner, provide technical support and suggestions to Engineering, run machines efficiently and effectively, collect related data on measuring tools, maintain excellent documentation, and work collaboratively in a team environment to help exceed goals.

About the role - you will:

In search of a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic candidate to fill our opening for an Engineering Specialist II position for supporting our Media Development Group in the Pilot Line.

About you:

Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality, and ability to achieve deadlines.

Understand process requirements and work with minimal supervision for execution of experiments.

Provide assistance to process development and engineering personnel as required.

Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including the ability to adapt to and learn new programs quickly.

Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.

Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness.

Demonstrate patience when running multiple tests.

Exhibits strong organizational skills.

Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.

Your experience includes:

Engineering Specialist should also have some previous work experience in their respective industries, either as interns or full-time employees.

Location:

The estimated base salary range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is: $48,464.00 - $69,304.00. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
