We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Preparation Specialist with at least 3 years of business tax preparation experience to join our team. As a Tax Preparation Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season using commercial tax preparation software
  • Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience
  • Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred
  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers strongly preferred
  • Must possess an active PTIN and any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
  • Working knowledge of Circular 230

How you will lead:

  • Virtual, customer-facing role using state of the art video communications software to interact with customers
  • Provide tax advice, full-service business return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions for TurboTax Business customers
  • Create high-quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation
  • Document customer interactions and work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals
