Responsible and accountable for managing the day-to-day activities of all services and staff within the areas of Biomed services. Develops and administers programs to maintain clinical equipment, beds, and stretchers in accordance with regulations and administrative guidelines. Focus on the repair and maintenance of clinical equipment at the main campus and all satellite facilities including administering a preventative maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted service to patients. Utilizes effective strategies in developing, supervising, and evaluating work processes, resource consumption and outcomes. Completes financial analyses to support recommendations. Evaluates contract opportunities and manages supplier/vendor performance and relationships. Plays a major role in the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships. Coordinates upgrades/implementations with interdepartmental leadership while collaborating with IT leadership and vendors.
Minimum Education
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.
Minimum Work Experience
- 5 Years technical experience in Biomed equipment service.
- 5 Years supervisory experience supervisory experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Able to coach, train and develop an effective team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to Biomed Equipment service including IT applications.
- Advanced Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
- Knowledge of Clinical Equipment Maintenance applications. HEMS Application preferred.
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement methods and change management preferred.
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $143,000.00
