Position Overview

The Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping the operational landscape of GOAT USA. This position involves not only the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies aimed at optimizing all facets of the organization's operations but also requires a keen understanding of the broader business environment and the specific challenges facing the company. This role reports to the COO and works closely with company leadership. 

Responsibilities

-       Optimize retail and warehouse operations through strategic inventory management, receiving, order fulfilment, space utilization and shipping.

-       Optimize and execute retail store opening and closing procedures including deposit processes, cash out, cashier manuals, etc. 

-       Provide an all operations budgeting, including payroll, supplies, and maintenance manage expense budgets.

-       Execute new retail stores set up, including supplies and fixtures, construction, facility operations and timeline management. 

-       Responsible for all security and maintenance operations for facilities. 

-       Coordinate and build our procedure for store transfers and damage items processes. 

-       Execute company objectives and ensure team priorities are met.

-       Transform GOAT USA's operations to meet goals and accelerate results.

-       Identify problems in fulfillment operations and drive continuous improvement strategies for distribution; identify opportunities with GOAT USA leadership to redesign and improve processes, tools, and technology.

-       Collaborate with leadership to anticipate staffing needs based on volume plans

-       Address staff challenges as they arise

-       Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships

-       Monitor, audit and enforce company and applicable industry policies and regulations.

-       Ensures equipment allocation meets operational demands to minimize equipment downtime.

-       Analyze data and make informed decisions.

-       Develop KPIs for efficiency that are reported on a regular basis to senior management.

-       Participate in strategic planning to support company growth and profitability. 

-       Work closely with HR and Legal regarding employment and labor law, and company policies and procedures.

-       Manage 3PL relationships and inventory

-       Reward and recognize performance and execute on progressive discipline, as needed.

-       Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression.

-       Foster a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols; perform periodic inspections and identify, communicate, and mitigate hazards and risks to prevent injury and implement tools and safety programs.

Requirements

-       Minimum of eight (8) year's experience in a management role in the retail apparel industry with extensive experience in fulfillment, shipping, receiving and warehousing.

-       Bachelor's Degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field (Master's or BA degree preferred)

-       Inventory control management with a background in building/improving management or inventory tracking systems.

-       Experience transforming the operations for a rapidly growing brand.

-       Strong knowledge of inventory management and best practices.

-       Experience with NetSuite

-       Must have experience executing complicated continuous improvement and project management initiatives

-       Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity and change.

-       Strong communication, leadership and team management skills

-       Excellent organizational and time management skills

-       Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs. 

Desired Skills

-       Ability to write procedural manuals for processes

-       Experience building training decks and conducting annual training 

Other Requirements

-       Full-time, in-person, exempt. Normal working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends.

-       Salary: 150k

-       Location: Plainview, NY
