Duties include but are not limited to; Integrating various technologies to improve shipping, handling and distribution of goods; Evaluating company requirements for staffing and facility maintenance to ensure processes operate efficiently and safely; Collaborating with departmental teams to implement technical systems that improve inventory tracking, storage and distribution; Using relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, and/or standards; Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems; Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events; Identifying and implementing process improvements within transportation and shop operations; Developing and maintaining risk assessment protocols to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement risk mitigation strategies; Interacting with international vendors, manufacturers, shipping agents and arranging shipping
