Position Summary:

As a Product Manager with a strong background in Business Analysis and Product Ownership, you will be a vital link between the business objectives and technology solutions within our organization. Your role will focus on owning and guiding the product vision for Innovation initiatives (not software development directly). You will utilize your analytical skills to evaluate business needs, market trends, and stakeholder requirements, all while establishing and steering the product roadmap. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to transition from a Business Analyst or Product Ownership role into a full-time Product Management role.

Business Analysis and Product Ownership:

  • Gather and analyze requirements from various internal and external stakeholders to identify and clarify business use cases for custom software solutions.
  • Gather and consolidate user feedback and functionality requests to identify and rationalize business uses cases for custom software solutions.
  • Synthesize internal business leader vision with industry data analytics and market research to support and refine product strategies.
  • Utilize data and insights to make decisions and guide product / market fit.
Product Management:

  • Own, develop and communicate a coherent product vision and strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of user needs, market dynamics, and business goals.
  • Create, maintain, and own the prioritized product backlog, working closely with development teams to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Create and execute on current and future state customer experience with the ability to translate knowledge for technical teams.
  • Act as the key intermediary between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication between up-stream and down-stream stakeholders.
  • Define OKRs, key measurements of success and track KPIs to assess the success and health of products.
  • Own the prioritization of the product backlog and lead Sprint Planning sessions with applicable design and development teams.
  • Participate in various software development demos, applicable business review meetings and User Acceptance Testing to guide product development, clarify goals, and disseminate updates.
  • Monitor project timelines, resolve any issues, and keep both business and technology stakeholders updated on progress.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to validate usability, viability and feasibility of features through multiple iterations.
  • Prepare the organization for seamless product launches, coordinating with different departments for effective training, support and overall product go-to-market readiness.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, or a similar role.
  • 2 years of experience as Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably for SaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Human Centered Design (HCD), Design Thinking, and Product Discovery methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and turn them into actionable business insights.
  • Familiarity with basic construction project workflows, deliverables, and milestones, or relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry or related fields.
  • Skills in data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau.

For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $125,000 - $150,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
