Position Overview: As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities for commercial ground-up construction projects. Your role will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be a key player in delivering successful projects and will interact closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors. Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to comply with safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications.
  • Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and adjust project schedules as needed. Address any scheduling conflicts or delays proactively to ensure timely project completion.
  • Budget Monitoring: Track and manage project budgets, including expenses and financial reporting. Ensure that costs are controlled and that the project remains within budget.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients on-site, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and effective communication throughout the project.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and compliance records. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial ground-up projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience in overseeing projects across various sectors such as Office, Medical, K-12, Retail, and Restaurant is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
