Senior iOS Developer

Job Summary:
Work with a cross functional team, which includes developers, product managers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to implement solutions tightly aligned with business objectives. Partner with team members to ensure cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and built with a high level of quality, security and scalability. Utilize the latest full stack technologies and cloud services to produce exceptional software within a continuous integration/continuous delivery environment. Ensure individual is a life-long learner and has been involved with mentorship or leadership of other engineers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Mobile Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms using native or cross-platform development tools.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Code Management:

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes in the codebase.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Provide internal development support which includes delivering fast and high-quality fixes to urgent production issues.
• Participate in code reviews providing guidance to Development and QA team members.

Testing & Debugging:

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs and optimize application performance.
• Work with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of applications before release.

Deployment & Maintenance:

• Manage the release process for mobile applications, including submission to the App Store and Google Play Store.
• Monitor applications post-release and address any issues that arise.
• Provide ongoing support and updates to existing mobile applications.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with Product Management and other functional teams to evaluate, develop and maintain the platform and features.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and other services.
• Deliver high-quality and on-schedule work according to Agile software development methodology.
• Participate in Agile activities including daily stand ups, estimations, and backlog grooming and reviews.

• Learn, understand and leverage cutting edge technologies to gain competitive advantage.
• Creatively brainstorm and innovate on prototypes as well as future products and features to drive the business forward.
• Proactively research industry trends and best practices to apply them as necessary.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Actively create opportunities for code/component re-use.
• Act as a development lead providing direction, training and guidance for less experienced colleagues.
• Leverage existing frameworks, platforms and patterns to improve time to market.
• Promote and ensure standards and framework compliance across the development team.

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in mobile application development for iOS.
• Experience with native development using Swift (iOS) or experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• Proven experience in delivering and maintaining mobile applications that are available in the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.
• Proficiency in mobile development tools and environments (e.g., Xcode).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries and APIs.
• Experience with mobile app architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP).
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
• Experience with automated testing tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure).
• Familiarity with mobile analytics tools and techniques.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source mobile projects or active participation in the developer community will be a plus.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and milestones with a sense of urgency.
• Solid knowledge of security and encryption best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices.
• Results oriented with a strong sense of teamwork.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
