Summary:
Our client within the Energy Oil & Gas industry is seeking a Sr. Development Manager to support and focus on long and mid-term strategy working on M&A "mergers and acquisition" opportunities, as well as creating joint ventures with key global partners. Candidate would be required to be versed in New Ventures and Predictive Analysis (NVPA) and identifying potential business opportunities with these tools that will help grow their Power Trading line of business.
Duties:
- Deliver the NVPA US projects roadmap, with a strategic focus on the priorities and objectives of Power Trading.
- Work with multiple businesses, ensuring effective governance, management, business development processes to reach a full integration of the projects.
- Contribute to the sales operational design or "Operating model of Trading" and the related setup of interfaces in terms of organization and reporting practices.
- Contribute to the business development design of the hedging strategy of assets and long term PPA books.
- Design, size, and manage the project integration team, with a proper follow-up of all relevant HR best practices of performance, attractivity, training, development in HSE and budget aspects.
- Provide support and knowledge on strategic topics and initiatives in different business areas.
- Work closely with the Business Managers of Power Trading US and provide support to them as required.
- Contribute and provide inputs to commercial contracts and coordinate activities with business development team.
- Ensure adequate communications between legal, and procurement teams, and notably for third party suppliers, and contractors.
- Manage a fast-growing business product line to include a pipeline of several projects with stringent timeline support.
- Coordinate multiple teams within an evolving organization to accommodate business growth.
- Acclimate business development strategy to work with at times volatile markets and considerable hedging exposure.
- Update internal communications to changing regulations with the Power Energy market.
- Contribute to the US business development strategy and sales marketing activities in relevant markets in close sync with local management and resources.
- Work to integrate relevant commercial, organizational, strategic, and business development projects within Power Trading team initiatives.
- Support the implementation of the group asset hedging strategy, according to approved corporate company hedging and transfer pricing.
- Champion and support LT deal funnel management overviews with relevant long term strategic view and business integration objectives.
- 5+ years of Business Development coupled with 5 years of the required experience in NVPA within the Energy Trading industry.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a business and project function, preferably within a related sector such as energy or trading.
- Experience and knowledge of portfolio/program/project management, product development is desirable.
- Strong business and commercial acumen, results focused, organized and a team player.
- Business partnering mindset, eager to be an enabler of sustainable economic success.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Masters degree and/or MBA preferred.
