Overview:

The Finance Analyst will join a high performing team which requires strong collaboration with business partners in order to optimize the business performance and improve analytics. The team is focused on personal growth and has many opportunities for visibility via projects, operational improvement and business partnering.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting the Brand Finance team in pulling key reporting information and producing variance analysis to drive commercial decisions
  • Support the delivery of Financial Plans (Annual Plans, Monthly and Quarterly Forecasts)
  • Responsible for updating, tracking and analyzing Marketing investments across the business and providing insightful scorecards around important metrics and post monthly journal entries for Marketing accruals
  • Provide Marketing teams with a thorough understanding of how well plans are being implemented from a financial perspective through use of tools such as SAP and Excel
  • Implement periodic (monthly/quarterly) internal control audit checks and help ensure the integrity of our systems
  • Support team in figuring out financial opportunities or risks related to new product launches, measuring against financial hurdles
  • Act as the team liaison to master data, responsible for the maintenance of financial data within SAP
  • Be an advocate for demonstrating system solutions that drive ease of use and efficiency in all business support functions
  • Actively and openly support key business objectives. Provide honest communication on issues that may be impediments to reaching the Company’s goals.
  • Perform other ad hoc requests as needed across the Commercial Finance area

Requirements:
  • BS/BA required
  • 1 -2 years of similar experience at a Consumer Products Company preferred
  • 1-2 years of accounting and other financial experience in other types of roles (i.e. Cost Accounting, General Accounting, etc) are a plus
  • Very strong business analytics skills and robust examples of taking initiative to get results
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while prioritizing deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Possess the understanding of basic accounting and finance (P&L, Balance Sheet construction)
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and form relationships
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally with emphasis on being comfortable building and delivering effective PowerPoint presentations
  • Must enjoy working in systems and analyzing data with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (advanced in Excel), SAP and Power BI.
