(BCI) is excited to invite qualified candidates to apply for the role of Recovery Counselor for the Detoxification (Detox) Unit that want to work individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorders (SUD). This position will be providing substance use group counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation services to teach strategies for living substance free. This position will collaborate with the person served to develop a relapse prevention plan as part of a Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) approach to recovery.Persons served in this program experience a variety of social, and psychiatric needs, which are addressed through coordination with Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) and other community service agencies. The applicant selected for this position must be comfortable working as a member of a treatment team and able to manage a therapeutic milieu.The Detoxification (Detox) Unit is funded by revenue appropriated by the State of Florida and Okaloosa County. Employment is contingent upon continued funding of this program.Applicants must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public, professional, and para-professional team.
