Bloomingdale's is currently seeking a Manager, Corporate Communications. This role will lead corporate communications for the enterprise with the goal of informing, engaging and inspiring colleagues across the country. The colleague will act as the brand's corporate voice, be the strategic partner to key leaders across our Corporate office, and serve as a key partner to the Macy's brand.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience in storytelling and brand management, as well as creating new and compelling ways to deliver information and engage key stakeholders. Essential Functions
- Clearly and frequently communicate key business initiatives to inform, align and energize teams throughout the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, editing and writing clear and compelling content for internal publications such as newsletters, emails, ancillary messaging like talking points and guides, as well as for the intranet, video projects and employment brand purposes.
- Assist in the development of communications strategies and plans for specific Bloomingdale's initiatives and/or announcements and work as a partner to senior leaders to execute important initiatives.
- Continuously improve communications effectiveness through measurement and insights, as well as explore new and innovative ways of connecting with audiences.
- Create and maintain a content calendar for enterprise messaging which is inclusive of strategy touchpoints, engagement opportunities, career opportunities and spotlights and business updates.
- Ensure communications messages and collateral are consistent with the organization's brand.
- Partner with Macy's Inc. Communications Team to align on global enterprise initiatives and messaging, as well as issue/crisis communication.
- Develop and implement a consistent voice and tone for leadership communications, developing programming and communication series to increase accessibility and brand awareness of executive leadership with the broader organization.
- Serve as a communications lead and production support for key company meetings including corporate town halls and leadership meetings
- Support culture and brand messaging with a consistent voice and find innovative ways to engage colleagues around our mission, values and business strategies.
- Be responsible for developing and executing a social strategy that amplifies Bloomingdale's voice across corporate social channels - primarily LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms.
Qualifications:
- We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply; 5-7 years' experience leading or influencing teams/others
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including editing and proofreading abilities. Must possess the ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Help establish and maintain best practices and tools to improve team organization and effectiveness, e.g., editorial calendar, templates, comms best practices, etc.
- Familiar with AP Style
- Project management skills

- Working knowledge of SharePoint, PowerPoint, Canva, InDesign and all Microsoft applications
