The Pricing Analyst is responsible for researching and tracking competitor pricing and market trends, analyzing the impact of pricing changes on profitability and growth rates and developing compliant cost models and effective pricing strategies for leading high priority priced-to-win solicitation activities. .Essential Functions:PRICING:In collaboration with the capture team, develops price-to-win goals, and provides input for competitive direct/indirect ratesDevelops Cost Strategy Plan and ensures that leadership and assigned capture manager approve of the planReviews cost/price issues as well as oversees cost strategy development implementation.Responsible for analyzing complex financial data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that all pricing activities adhere to broad government regulations as well as solicitation specific requirementsCertifies to executive leadership that cost proposal is in full compliance with Request for Proposal (RFP) and organization’s costing proceduresDevelops proposal pricing for various programs in compliance with the proposed technical solution(s) by working with the business development and the operations team members during the proposal development phase.Research market trends and develops competitive pricing strategies for proposals. Identifies areas of continuous improvement for pricing strategies and present pricing models.Uses creative and strategic thinking to develop, manage and institutionalize pricing and cost models for reusability and scalability. Is a thought leader for innovating pricing mechanism(s).Develop and brief priced to win analysis supporting Best Value and Low Price Technically Acceptable CompetitionsD evelop competitive assessments, funding analysis, top down program price analysis, bottoms up program price analysis, market-based price analysis, and other similar target allocationsACCOUNTING:o Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgerso Assist collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports.o Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial statuso Submitting reports and other financial information to outside tax firm on behalf of the companyo Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the companyo Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)o Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account informationExperience:A minimum of 8 years of relevant federal government experienceExperience in bidding to different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M)Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responsesAbility to influence constructively and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structureHighly motivated, have exceptional communications skills (both oral and written) as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.Direct experience with large competitive Federal Government programs preferredCost Modeling and /or Basis of Estimate Preparation and quantitative risk analysis desired.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with 6 years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience.2 to 4 years of experience in government contracting in roles such as Pricing Analyst, Contracts Analyst, Project Control/Financial AnalystCompetencies:· Analytical thinking· Mathematical skills· Team collaboration· Financial forecasting· Problem solving skills· Communication skillsSupervisory Responsibility:None required for this positionPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position.
