RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Chief Operation Officer include but are not limited to:
- Champion the Founders’ Vision: Execute the long-term vision and champion it among team members, while strategically identifying optimal resource investment areas based on financial forecasts and organizational goals
- Operational Growth and Management: Scale and grow revenue producing operations, oversee day-to-day operations, and optimize internal systems and processes
- Administrative Management: Manage essential administrative tasks
- Team Leadership: Lead quarterly team meetings to ensure alignment on goals and progress, serving as a buffer between the team and partners regarding non-case specific matters
- KPI Management: Establish KPIs and provide regular reports to ensure accountability and progress tracking
- Financial Oversight: Own and manage the P&L statement, oversee cash flow and cost accounting, and identify appropriate spending areas to optimize financial performance; partner with the bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, manage various bank accounts, and ensure reliable financial predictions
- Marketing and Business Development : Participate in supervising staff and outside vendors in developing and executing marketing and business development growth strategies, including web development, digital marketing, social media, direct mail, and in-person business development opportunities.
- Technology Optimization: Assess and implement the most effective systems and technology, ensuring efficient use and IT ownership in collaboration with third-party resources to enhance operational efficiency
- Event and Project Coordination: Organize team events and manage special projects to foster team cohesion and engagement
- Recruitment Support: Assist in hiring efforts, support the seamless integration of new team members, and collaborate with the Director of Legal Services while being mindful of the challenges faced by the legal team
- Resource Utilization: Leverage external resources and consultants to drive the firm’s growth and development

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3+ years operations leadership experience (director level or above)
- Experience scaling a business in terms of revenue and headcount
- Experience or interest in business operating systems like EOS, Scaling Up, OKR, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Tech Savvy
Preferred
- Professional services experience (legal, IT, financial, etc.)
- Experience scaling a business’s revenue 5-10x
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Juris Doctor, Master’s degree and/or MBA
- Experience with digital marketing
Desired
- Volunteer experience

Salary: $130,000 to $160,000 plus performance-based bonus
