Paralegal - First Party Property

Location: Fort Myers, FL (onsite)

Pay: $70k-$80k (experience-based)

Description:

We are seeking experienced First Party Property paralegals to join our team. The ideal paralegal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 years of first-party property insurance defense experience, although training is available for the right candidates.

Job Duties:

1. Summarizes records and court files.
2. Schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses & other special functions.
3. Research sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, constitutions, and public records.
4. Drafts, prepares, and performs limited reviews of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery materials, appeals, and contracts.
5. Assists in trial preparation and discovery practices such as gathering and organizing exhibits, trial data, documents, and other materials in response to subpoenas, discovery requests, interrogatories, motions for summary judgments, etc.
6. Serves as a limited liaison between counsel, clients, experts, witnesses, third parties, and other outside contacts.
7. Maintain the attorney’s calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and depositions.
