Pay Range
$89,670 - $111,324 Annually for the E01.2 level
$107,550 - $133,524 Annually for the E01.3 level
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to perform high-level business assessments, develop and manage strategic metrics, lead complex process improvement projects and manage assurance and compliance deliverables supporting functions such as conference management, travel, receiving, shipping, asset tracking, and vehicle maintenance. This position is in the Asset Management Department within the Business Directorate.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week depending upon the business need.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
You will
Conduct compliance assessments to include evaluating and analyzing current business processes, systems, and workflows for compliance. Identify risks and areas for improvement.
Develop and oversee strategic metrics by creating, monitoring, and managing key performance indicators to support management decision-making and long-term business planning.
Analyze complex data by utilizing advanced data analysis tools to interpret large and complex datasets and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure department compliance by tracking and maintaining the status of department compliance activities.
Manage assurance deliverables by overseeing the completion of assurance deliverables and conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and quality assurance.
Prepare reports and documentation, including developing and presenting comprehensive reports and maintaining detailed documentation for all strategic projects and compliance activities to stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional job responsibilities, at the E01.3 level
Lead complex process improvement initiatives, including the design and implementation of large-scale process improvement projects using advanced methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma, and driving efficiency and operational excellence.
Lead strategic business assessments through evaluating and analyzing current business processes, systems, and workflows at a strategic level to identify areas for significant improvement and growth.
Collaborate with department leadership and work closely with senior leadership and cross functional teams to support and drive strategic business process changes.
Qualifications
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE L-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience developing support service area processes, metrics, and improvements.
Experience interpreting regulations, policies, and procedures to perform audits or assessments.
Experience coordinating multiple work activities for a service operation or customer service area using effective decision and judgment skills.
Experience acting as a change agent within an organization by successfully demonstrating new concepts and implementing new business models.
Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and/or Visio.
Ability to independently and collaboratively work in a productive manner.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary teams and effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
Additional qualifications at the E01.3 level
Experience leading complex process improvement projects and developing strategic metrics.
Extensive experience with process improvement methodologies.
Significant experience analyzing current business processes and systems for efficiency and streamlining of operations.
Qualifications We Desire
Experience in establishing and optimizing change management processes.
Lean/Six Sigma Certification.
Project Management Professional Certification.

Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level clearance.
