Firm: Family office backed, real estate development partnership focused primarily on multifamily and student housing projects across the US. The firm’s current portfolio comprises approximately 2,000 apartment units and 2 million square feet of industrial space.
Location: Nashville or Provo, UT.
Role: The Director will be primarily responsible for evaluating and executing the business plan across each of the existing and future multifamily assets in the portfolio. This includes working strategically to drive value through operational strategy, assessing financial performance, and executing capital strategies. To a lesser extent, the Associate will have the opportunity to source and help lead new development activities. This role is best suited for an entrepreneurial individual, who can add-value across existing properties and identify strategic growth opportunities.
Responsibilities: These include, but are not limited to:
· Identify and execute value creation initiatives.
· Establish a deep understanding of each market, submarket and comparable properties for each asset in the portfolio.
· Oversee all financial aspects of the properties, maintaining institutional operating and reporting standards.
· Implement systems and initiatives to streamline portfolio-level reporting.
· Collaborate with third-party property management teams on a variety of topics, including:
o Managing the lease-up of new developments.
o Rent positioning and operational strategy.
o Capital planning and property maintenance oversight.
Compensation: Competitive, including potential carried interest in investments. Annual compensation will be directly tied to identify, executing and maintaining value creation initiatives across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree, emphasis on finance and/or real estate from an accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct experience performing Responsibilities similar to those listed above.
- An in-depth understanding of property level financial statements, including: rent roll, income statement, balance sheet, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of software, specifically including extensive experience with Excel.
- Experience with property management systems is a plus.
Travel: Travel to the properties is occasionally required.
