Job Requirements / Description

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead the sales strategy for profitable top-line revenue growth across core market segments.
  • Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer USA (CEO USA) and collaborate with the North American Leadership Team.
  • Execute the global sales strategy including the “Focus 28” direction, in order to develop local goals to increase revenue, market share, and profitability, leveraging organizational strengths and differentiating from competitors.
  • Manage the Bürkert systems sales growth across the industries, increasing its footprint throughout the USA.
  • Establish and manage local performance metrics, oversee the sales process, provide accurate forecasts

Operational Excellence:

  • Evaluate and improve sales operations (incl.SG&A Management) and financial performance with close collaboration with HQ Sales Controlling, addressing issues such as turnover decline, opportunity pipeline, market trends and competition
  • Optimize value streams to ensure “system house” engineering and manufacturing excellence works well together with sales.
  • Execute corporate strategies, including pricing requests, reviews, and approvals.
  • Lead a team of 5-6 direct reports (Pharma, Food, Lab& A, Marketing team leader + e.g Assistant) and total of ca 80 people across the country, providing coaching and ensuring adherence to key KPI measures.

Customer and Market Focus:

  • Maintain close relationships with key customers in the core industry, enhancing customer intimacy and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and evaluate changing market conditions to respond to opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Ensuring alignment with corporate standards and strategies.
  • Act as a bridge to other parts of the global sales organization, facilitating cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of management experience, with significant experience leading a sales organization in the USA.
  • Proven track record in P&L and SG&A management and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a direct selling organization + distribution.
  • Strong work ethic, analytical and communication skills, and an ability to navigate a matrix organization with a global HQ.
  • Culturally adaptable, with experience working across different cultures and languages.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
