As a Global Customer Strategist, you will gather and analyze information, create comprehensive client reports, summarize data using graphs and tables, and contribute to the development of high-quality business plans for our global customer portfolio. The work environment in the mining and construction industries has unique and interesting challenges one won't find in other professions. It is all encompassing, anywhere from office attire one day to working in a rough and rugged environment another day in some of the most beautiful and pristine areas of the world.The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports on your findings and present the data in a reasonable and clearly defined manner.
  • Devise and assess procedures and methods for data collection, including, surveys and questionnaires
  • Gather information on competitors, and study their sales, prices and methods of distribution to thoroughly learn about the competition.
  • Track and forecast trends in sales, and investigate in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports.
  • Collect and study data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
  • Work with the individual Global key account managers to build meaningful business plans for each client.
  • Develop scorecards to measure the performance against the KPI's and business plans.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information in a professional and understandable manner
  • Strong professional presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in market research and familiarity with various survey tools
  • Understanding of the mining and construction market (preferred)
