Job Requirements / Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform full cycle accounts payable functions including GL coding, invoice entry, and obtaining payment authorization approvals.
  2. Generate and process weekly check runs.
  3. Review and reconcile expense reports and submit for reimbursement once approved.
  4. Reconcile credit card transactions.
  5. Ensure monthly closing of accounts payable in a timely manner.
  6. Coordinate invoice accrual process at month-end.
  7. Posting of accounts to General Ledger for AR/AP/Cash Receipts and Disbursements.
  8. Produce Accounting reports as requested.
  9. Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  10. Set up and maintain AP records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
  11. Maintain vendor relationships.
  12. Assist vendors and employees with inquiries relating to invoices & expense reports.
  13. Provide backup support to accounts receivable as needed.
  14. Understand and extract pertinent financial data for the purpose of presentation and report development and/or explanation of the information to vested individuals/groups.
  15. Interact effectively and cross-functionally for all accounting matters.
  16. Assist with annual 1099 preparation.
  17. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to be proactive, and flexible, and to work well under pressure in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
  • High standards for organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Able to handle assignments independently and concurrently.
  • Strong team contributor; ability and willingness to work hard to achieve department objectives.
  • Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
