Position Summary
We seek a highly motivated and experienced DoD Contractor Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting for defense contracts and a deep understanding of the unique requirements and challenges of the Department of Defense (DoD) contracting environment. This role involves sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for various DoD contracts, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and company policies.

ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but not limited to:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract and hire top talent for DoD contracts
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure alignment on recruitment goals and expectations.
- Provide Regular updates to hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment progress and challenges.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with DoD regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all candidate interactions and hiring processes in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Prepare and submit required documentation for security clearances and other compliance-related processes.
- Candidate Experience:
- Provide a positive candidate experience by communicating clearly and promptly throughout recruitment.
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding processes.
- Follow up with new hires to ensure a smooth transition and address initial concerns.
- Market Research and Networking:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and labor market conditions.
- Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to build a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Leverage professional networks and associations to identify and attract high-quality candidates.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Years of Experience: At least four years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: CIR or similar certifications
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in recruiting for DoD contracts or within the defense industry.
- Strong understanding of DoD regulations, security clearance processes, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Previous experience working in a federal contracting environment.
- Familiarity with OFCCP and EEO guidelines.
Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Information
Travel:
- Up to 20% travel to job fairs, networking events, and client sites.
- May involve occasional evening and weekend work to meet recruitment goals and deadlines.
