Position Overview: The Manager, Logistics oversees and approves all logistics activities for the company. The person in this role manages logistics tasks and leads a group of individuals to reduce costs and increase profitability. The Manager analyzes previous logistics data to adjust current logistics processes and provides input into the development, implementation, and/or execution of processes to control labor scheduling and improve efficiencies. The Manager oversees the organization and movements of several manufacturing and retail facilities in addition to the compliance, security, and safety of regulated, unregulated, and raw material supply movements.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
  • Adhere to company mission statement and core values and maintain high ethical standards and professionalism in all business interactions
  • Ensure teams meet all regulatory and compliance measures • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all confidential information
  • Oversee and analyze internal supply/chain processes from cultivation, manufacturing, and retail locations
  • Establish and maintain distribution facilities and report on key metrics from those facilities
  • Examine shipping methods to include planning, tracking, containers, vehicles, routes, and times for effectiveness
  • Meet financial and time benchmarks for delivering and receiving supplies and products
  • Partner with Inventory Specialist(s) to create and enforce chain of custody accuracy
  • Manage store-to-store transfers for regulated product
  • Assist with wholesale fulfillment processes and 3rd party pickups
  • Observe, respond to and report security threats
  • Acts as a first responder to emergency situations
  • Audit operations to ensure teams are meeting service standards
  • Actively participate in training efforts and coach junior logistics staff
  • Actively participate in the hiring process, develop strategies to increase client satisfaction, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results
  • Controls and releases inventory to transport staff for distribution to retail locations or wholesale clients
  • Responsible for coordinating with compliance team, managers, and lead associates to address quality assurance/compliance concerns
  • Reports inventory totals to management to determine needs for each location
  • Completes a variety of Reports following incidents or investigations to initiate next steps for Management staff, Investigator(s) and Executive Officers
  • Performs quality assessments of assets and report results company-wide
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of items while in storage and working cooperatively with Managers and Executive Office to determine, repair, replacement or destruction of assets
  • Coordinates distribution of assets, including selection of correctly-sized vehicle for logistics needs
  • Coordinates with Managers and production staff to maintain par levels of products
  • Use analytical skills to reduce company downtime due to logistics issues and escalate problems as required • All other tasks and job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • 5+ years of Management experience in multi-unit logistics
  • Experience reporting to Executive-level management
  • Must have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software
  • Must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of warehousing, distribution, and transportation in a developing, complex SKU environment
  • Must have experience in leading change management programs
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with an ISO certified business
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, HIPAA, and CDPHE requirements
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent influential, collaborative, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Travel %: 0-10

FLSA status: Exempt
Expected Salary Range: $50K - $60K + 10% Bonus + Full suite of benefits
Additional Abilities Required:
• The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
