Join Our Team: We are seeking a Senior International Trade Manager who is not just a compliance expert but a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the high-tech industry. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our cutting-edge products navigate the complexities of global trade with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will be the driving force behind our ability to deliver solutions to thousands of customers across the globe, maintaining our reputation for integrity and compliance.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and refine our product and technology classification processes, ensuring compliance with EAR, ITAR, and HTS regulations.
  • Develop and enhance our export control compliance policies and procedures, with a focus on aligning with our dynamic international operations.
  • Oversee daily export and customs compliance tasks, setting the standard for accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Evaluate licensing requirements, secure and manage export licenses, and perform regular audits to ensure robust technology control plans.
  • Create and deliver trade compliance training programs designed to empower our diverse and talented teams.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive compliance documentation, anticipating and adapting to legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Investigate compliance issues and drive corrective actions, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Represent Altera's interests and engage proactively with government licensing agencies to ensure expedient resolution and issuance of necessary permits and licenses.
  • Spearhead internal process improvements, utilizing compliance solutions to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic business initiatives.

Your Background:

  • Experience in managing trade compliance within the high-tech industry, with a focus on driving strategic initiatives and cross-functional project management.
  • A solid foundation in managing global trade and legal compliance for multinational corporations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • A track record of developing and executing compliance policies and educational programs.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of total experience. Experience should include some experience in compliance within the semiconductor, technology, and/or manufacturing sector as well as some experience in international trade laws, such as EAR (Export Administration Regulations), ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), and/or HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule), etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in an engineering field and/or an MBA is a plus
  • Additional certifications in fields related to engineering or international trade are a plus.
  • Certification in project management is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$159,896.00-$255,416.00
