JOB DESCRIPTION

Step into the role of a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies.

As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce Technology, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Architecture Governance and Data Architecture functions for the line of business.
  • Contribute to the development of the tools, templates, and processes for recording solutions for large and complex ideas.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies.
  • Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities.
  • Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design.
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Serve as the function’s go-to subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
  • Create durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
  • Champion the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
  • Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives.
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages.
  • Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines.
  • Understanding of the business.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • AWS Experience preferred.
  • Consumer banking products and eCommerce domain knowledge preferred.
