**Job Title:** Nuclear Medicine Technologist

**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Preferred experience in cardiac and general nuclear medicine
**License:** ARRT (N) or NMTCB Registry required
**Certifications:** BLS (AHA or ARC) required
**Must-Have Skills:**

- Radiographic and Radiologic Technologist skills

**Job Description:**
- Perform radiographic exams utilizing ionizing radiation while ensuring patient protection using ALARA principles.
- Supervise staff technologists in the correct use of radiation-producing equipment and performance of duties.
- Conduct invasive procedures and exams with contrast agents under radiologist supervision.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities in the Radiology Department.
- Adhere to principles of infection control during patient care.
- Perform safety and control checks on department equipment per standards.
- Demonstrate proper application of medication administration principles.
- Protect patients using proper lead shielding, confidentiality, and safety measures.
- Wear radiation film badge while on duty.
- Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and ensure consent forms are signed.
- Deliver age-appropriate care, validated by the completion of an age-specific competency checklist.
- Participate in a rotating call every other weekend.

- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Display a commitment to customer service.
- Communicate effectively with all applicable customers and age groups.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
