Responsibilities
The Director is responsible for Quality Improvement initiatives in the department of Patient Care Services (PCS) and works directly with the Vice President for Patient Care Services/CNO. The director will work with the clinical departments to assess, plan and monitor practice and performance to ensure that current national and regulatory standards related to performance improvement are implemented. The director will work in conjunction with nursing leaders to ensure that quality outcomes are in alignment with the PCS-Nursing division strategic plan, Magnet standards and strategic initiatives of Mercy Medical Center.
Requirements
- BSN and Master's is preferred
- Two (2) years management experience or demonstrated ability in effective communication, problem solving and leadership.
- Able to demonstrate skill in team building, staff development, coaching/mentoring, role modeling and work ethics.
- RN License in the state of Maryland
- CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Professional
