Job Description:
Your Team:
Based in Houston, the Senior Director of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the Construction teams for delivery of up to 300 homes per year. The Senior Director of Operations will be well versed in all facets of residential construction for single family detached and attached for sale and for rent housing.
Your Key Deliverables:
Operations:
Manage the field activities and processes to produce or forecast:
- Cycle Times
- Home Completions and Home Closings
- Contractor / Vendor / Supplier relationships
- Land / Lot condition acceptance
- Community presentation and jobsite cleanliness
- Extras / Job Cost Review meetings
- Customer Service Cost and Timing Controls
- Communication / cross collaboration with Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Land
Strategy and Leadership:
Manage Construction and Customer Care team to deliver:
- Initiatives for cost controls
- Initiatives for builder loads and carry
- Initiatives for build time reductions
- Initiatives for warranty cost tracking and reductions
- Establish processes to improve customer feedback scores
- Processes around New Home Deliveries and New Home Orientation
Must Haves:
- Bachelors degree in construction management or related industry
- 10-15 years in the field of production residential development
- Experience managing multiple departments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple projects and assignments
