Chemical Manufacturing Engineer

To lead teams in carrying out assigned jobs and provide reliable feedback that will help to assess the performance of Process Plants and Operational Activities against set KPI’s. Maximum throughput, quality, environment, safety, cost, utilization, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee, manage, and direct all processes, procedures, and operations
2. Use scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve process operation
3. Develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
4. Conduct research and pilot-scale studies to establish/propose best available technologies and processes (with procedures) for all waste streams received
5. Develop testing procedures, test methods, and test equipment
6. Develop specifications for process equipment, materials, and facilities
7. Maintain and upgrade laboratory equipment, including instruments, finance, reactors, distillation pressure vessels, and other equipment and facilities
8. Perform projects, lab audits, calibrations, and troubleshoot problems
9. Maintain and comply with the internal environmental health and safety management system requirements
10. Any other duty as assigned

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in chemical engineering or related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in chemical engineering or related field
3. Knowledge of laboratory equipment and methods
