Behavioral Therapist - Chemical Dependency IOP
Full-Time, 40 hrs/week, 10am-8:30pm

STAR-LRP: Our Addiction IOP treatment programs are approved facilities for the STAR Loan Repayment Program.
Join a dynamic team consisting of Behavioral Therapists, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, addiction physicians, and nurses who work together to serve individuals whose lives are impacted by substance use disorders. Behavioral Therapist provide intensive outpatient programming (IOP) that consists primarily of group therapy and, when appropriate, individual or family therapy sessions. Patients may also receive Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) within our program.
The treatment team works under the direction of the Medical Director and participates in weekly team meetings to review the progress of patients. We also offer tailored IOP tracks for those with dual diagnosis concerns with a focus on those whose mental health symptoms significantly impair their ability to obtain and/or maintain sobriety.

Summary:
Under general supervision, provides individual, group, psychiatric diagnostic assessment, and referral services for the Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program. Works as part of a clinical treatment team that includes the medical and administrative directors of outpatient services. Participates in policy and program development, program marketing, data collection, peer review, supervision and training to personnel, students, and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
-Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field of study and currently licensed as an LISW, LPCC, IMFT, LICDC, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and licensure.
-Master's degree in counseling or social work with current Ohio license (LPC, LSW, PCC) considered, if independent licensure can be obtained within one year of hire.
Experience & Training Required:
-Minimum of three years behavioral health clinical experience.
-Two years' experience providing intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization clinical care preferred.
-Must have (or attain within one year) nonviolent crisis intervention certification and maintain same thereafter.
-Must have or attain BLS-C certification and maintain certification thereafter.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Must have knowledge and experience using DSM-V and Cognitive/ Behavior Group Therapy skills
-Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnosis and treatment of mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnosis treatment issues and interventions desired.
-Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EPIC) and concurrent documentation, preferred.
-Ability to work well within a team environment
-Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa by: Creating a patient care environment, which is focuses on the treatment needs and experiences of those served.
-Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure
-Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties (e.g., suggesting innovative ideas and providing feedback on a team's direction)
-Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets
-Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals in exchanging information and assisting with patient care

-Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
