RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide senior systems administrators and support to all incident escalation tickets that are unable to be resolved by Tier 1 personnel.
- Responsible for daily operations and health of the DFC infrastructure.
- Ensure the availability of the DFC network and all systems and services.
- Manage all virtual servers, physical servers, enterprise storage, file and server backups, network switches, routers, firewalls, telecom closets, DFC datacenter.
- Support and resolve escalation of tickets that cannot be resolved at the Tier I level as well as requests that require advanced knowledge or access using a combination of prior technical knowledge among team members via mentoring and cross-training. In addition, team members are expected to research and contribute to a shared knowledge base to help troubleshoot issues and share information to be used by others.
- Tickets shall be maintained and updated with correct status and notes to fully document all actions taken to resolve issues. Tickets shall be resolved and closed within specified SLA timeframes.
- As needed, engage external vendors to initiate support tickets, act as a main POC, and maintain consistent communication and troubleshooting efforts until resolution of problems.
- DFCNet shall be monitored for system anomalies, errors, and failures and all system alerts shall be investigated and a response must be provided to OIT management within the specified timeframe.
- Certificate Management for internally generated PKI and 3rd party issued certificates.
- Research and contribute to a shared knowledge base to help troubleshoot issues and share information to be used by others.
- Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation on all network applications and systems. Documentation types include Visio, Word, Excel and others to provide detailed views of traffic and data flows.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in providing patching and vulnerability management and other security services
- 3+ years experience with VDI, preferably Azure
- Experienced in Systems Administration of a complex network (Nutanix SAN, HP NAS)
- Experienced in utilizing ServiceNow ITSM tool to track and resolve incidents, service requests, and changes
- Experienced in providing Active Directory Support, account management, GPO management.
- Experience with M365 services, Teams, Exchange, etc.
- Familiar with Azure Active Directory
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Overview
We are seeking an Sr. Systems Admin, IT Engineer III to join our program on US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) CFESS IT Operations in Washington, D.C.
The OIT's IT Operations team (ITOPS) maintains and manages DFC's network infrastructure systems, Data Center, IT networks and telecom circuits, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, Network Access Controls (NAC), and end-user devices. This Division is also responsible for delivering and managing Windows/Linux desktop and server operating systems (OS), Azure Virtual desktop, Zscaler, Nutanix, Microsoft Office 365, Cisco and Azure infrastructure, and ServiceNow/ITSM services. This team provides direct Tier II client/customer support, incident management, and trouble resolution for all IT services, computing platforms, and wireless devices to a large remote workforce.
