The Wyndham Garden in York, PA is currently looking for an experienced Director of Sales.

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales team and driving revenue growth for the hotel, with a particular focus on the banquet facility. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and ensuring the hotel meets its revenue targets.

Job Location: 2000 Loucks Rd York, PA

WGY Event Spaces:

  • Up to 160 guests in Crystal Ballroom
  • Up to 500 guests in Ballroom of the Roses
  • 11 Meeting Rooms
  • Outdoor Courtyard with Fireplace

The ideal candidate should be someone that defines hospitality at their facility.

Duties & Responsibilities: (Included, but not limited to)

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute comprehensive sales plans to increase hotel occupancy and banquet bookings.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies, etc. Ability to create Vendor Partnerships that allow for additional upsells, increased profit margins on events, & to achieve financial monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as kitchen, marketing, & operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and service.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports to senior management, tracking performance and progress toward goals.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of events in the banquet facility, ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Canva, & Event Management Systems (Caterease, Delphi).
  • Five years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities required.
