Corporate M&A Associate

We are actively seeking a highly-qualified Corporate M&A Associate to join our top-ranked law firm based in Miami, FL. This role is ideal for someone keen on leveraging their legal expertise to make a substantial impact in both domestic and international spheres of business law.

Compensation: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents including agreements for complex M&A and joint venture projects
  • Directly engage with clients, offering strategic advice and handling sensitive transactional details
  • Collaborate closely with other legal professionals within the firm to ensure comprehensive support and effective strategies in corporate law practices
  • Participate in negotiations, representing clients' interests and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accuracy
  • Provide legal guidance on potential risks in contractual, regulatory, and financial strategies

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a robust academic record
  • Active Bar admission in Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years of substantive business and transactional experience in corporate law, including expertise in M&A and complex commercial transactions
  • Demonstrated experience in joint ventures, financial restructuring, or similar high-stakes business dealings
  • Proven ability to handle high volumes of complex matters independently
  • Exceptional writing, drafting, and oral advocacy skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Latin America corporate work is highly desirable
  • Business proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
  • Previous employment in a top AmLaw 100 national law firm is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and peers within the legal spectrum
  • Adept in using legal research software and other related technologies
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving legal issues
