Corporate M&A Associate
We are actively seeking a highly-qualified Corporate M&A Associate to join our top-ranked law firm based in Miami, FL. Compensation: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents including agreements for complex M&A and joint venture projects
- Directly engage with clients, offering strategic advice and handling sensitive transactional details
- Collaborate closely with other legal professionals within the firm to ensure comprehensive support and effective strategies in corporate law practices
- Participate in negotiations, representing clients' interests and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accuracy
- Provide legal guidance on potential risks in contractual, regulatory, and financial strategies
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a robust academic record
- Active Bar admission in Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of substantive business and transactional experience in corporate law, including expertise in M&A and complex commercial transactions
- Demonstrated experience in joint ventures, financial restructuring, or similar high-stakes business dealings
- Proven ability to handle high volumes of complex matters independently
- Exceptional writing, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Latin America corporate work is highly desirable
- Business proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
- Previous employment in a top AmLaw 100 national law firm is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and peers within the legal spectrum
- Adept in using legal research software and other related technologies
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving legal issues
