We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team. This person will primarily work out of our Scottsdale, AZ office, but may be required to travel to other locations from time to time as the need arises.


They must possess a professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees and vendors with his/her excellent oral and written communication skills. The right candidate will have a successful track record of working independently as well as within a team. Effective multi-tasking is a must. Our Systems Administrator will have professional project management presentation and resource management skills.


About the job

The Systems Administrator will provide crucial support in maintaining and operating the organization's IT infrastructure, which includes various computer systems and network configurations. This role is pivotal for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of systems to maximize performance across the company. The position involves assisting and supporting in unison with our Helpdesk approximately 15 onsite users and 50-100 remote users at our headquarters and other remote offices.

Preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT support or system administration
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or vendor-specific certifications like CCNA, JNCIA or FCA a plus
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and network configurations
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and/or a combination of education and experience


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced experience with in-house and remote user support.
  • Advanced experience troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of Generator and UPS Power Systems.
  • Experience working in Confluence and Jira Helpdesk Software
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise software products and services.
  • Microsoft, VMware, AWS and Azure Certifications a plus.
  • Strong knowledge in Azure and AWS micro services and structure a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of O365, SharePoint, Teams, Office suite apps.
  • Strong knowledge of MS 365 Admin Center.
  • Security monitoring tools, ESET, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Pager Duty, MS Defender
  • Experience supporting enterprise core services as well as cloud deployments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and LDAP.
  • Experience with VMware VCenter 6.7 and 8.0.
  • Understand the concepts of a hypervisor, storage and networking.
  • Strong experience with Windows Servers all versions.
  • AS400 experience a plus
  • Domino and Notes experience a plus.
  • MS SQL Server experience a plus.
  • Become directly involved in escalated system support issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate user relocations with respect to systems communications.
  • Plan, organize and implement hardware and software upgrades.
  • Track the technology industry to determine direction and availability of hardware, software. and service improvements to give Company competitive edge.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining, configuring, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, operating systems, and software applications
  • Help perform system and software upgrades, system backup, and recovery operations
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure security and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the IT team to enhance system reliability and performance
  • Provide technical support to end users and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in supervised IT projects and contribute to the deployment.
  • Assist in managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Support disaster recovery plans and participate in data integrity checks.
  • Participate in departmental on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed
  • Knowledge of System Security, Vulnerability remediation, Backup and Recovery
  • Work with other Network Operations Team members on maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain documentation of systems and environments.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
