Spitzer, a recognized industry leader in designing and fabricating high-specification equipment, is currently seeking a Project Manager I to join our team. The Project Manager reports to the Director of Projectsand is responsible for providing (ex: technical expertise) to the (department) team. This position is responsible for providing (ex of summary- general and mechanical engineering subject matter expertise, detailed design support, and technical assistance. This position will serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical design and integration, root cause analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting). This position will support day-to-day operationsdemands and select projects.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Prepare inquiries, solicit quotations, prepare commercial bid tabulations, prepare purchase orders for procurement of various materials and equipment, including valves, process instrumentation, pipe, flanges, pipe fittings, etc. and arranging transport and expediting of purchased material.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Project Manager Look Like?

    • Assist in the preparation of requests for quotations/proposals.
    • Work with QC Coordinator, Package Engineers and others to ensure adherence to project schedule, technical requirements, purchase order requirements, etc.
    • Prepare purchase orders and change orders.
    • Enter information into the material control system.
    • Prepare inquiry and purchase order status reports.
    • Expedite purchased materials.
    • Arrange transportation of purchased materials.
    • Work with Purchasing Manager in the close-out of respective purchase orders including resolution of supplier conflicts.
    • Expedite purchased material.

    • Assist other departments as required or requested by Supervisor.
    • Understand and follow safety policies and procedures
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and some college preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar or related position.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering and oil field terminology.

Work Schedule
The Project Manager will work Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM . Spitzer currently runs two shifts, Monday through Friday with overtime on weekend work as needed. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
