JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst serves as the principal advisor, in consultation with the CCRC Director, on fiscal and business operations for a large and dynamic grant, independently performing complex budgetary analysis using campus financial systems to formulate recommendations.

APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

Budgeted Salary: $86,340 - $95,370/annually. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.

Schedule Information:

  • Full-time, Fixed
  • Percentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per Week
  • Days of the Week: Mon-Fri
  • Shift Includes: Day

JOB DUTIES

60% - Manage and Track Subrecipients for Grant Implementation

  • Work closely with the Office of Sponsored programs to ensure subrecipients are set up correctly.
  • Review monthly subrecipient invoices for accuracy and proper backup documentation.
  • Maintain subrecipient budgets to ensure expenses are allowable and within budget guidelines.
  • Track invoice payments and communicate with subrecipient regarding budget questions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience and / or training.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance policies, fund accounting, general accounting principles, policies, practices, and enterprise financial systems.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with a strong service orientation.
  • Effective organization processes, critical evaluation, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in related area.
  • Experience and knowledge of fund accounting in higher education.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
  • Must possess a valid license to drive in the state of California.
