Located in the Jurupa Valley, The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club features a full-service restaurant, wedding and events, and catering programs. Join The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club staff and work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team to launch our beautiful new restaurant.
THE ROLE:
The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club is seeking talented Line Cooks to join our culinary department. Selected candidates will be responsible for supporting our Executive Chef in executing culinary operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Responsible for assisting culinary staff in meeting daily operation goals. Participates in ongoing training, maintains equipment, notify the chef of order needs and maintains a positive attitude.
•
Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality. Expedite orders in a timely manner.
•
Practice excellent operational sanitation.
•
Execute scheduled banquet functions.
•
Maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates. Help reduce loss/waste.
•
Communicate equipment repair needs with the chef.
•
Actively participate in training efforts.
•
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
•
Attend staff meetings.
•
Check and date all deliveries received and report any variances to the chef in charge. Verify that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•
May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization.
•
Frequently stand and walk; talk and hear. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle; taste or smell; reaches with hands or arms. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
•
Reliable and predictable attendance.
•
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
•
Required: Active Riverside County Food Handlers Card.
