The IT Manager, reporting directly to the National Director, is primarily responsible for managing the data systems supporting the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) for AARP Foundation. This role supervises a team, directly overseeing Salesforce, IT systems and all operational activities related to the program's information technology. As a strategic leader, the IT Manager oversees all computer-related tasks, solutions, and process improvements, with a focus on enhancing automation, minimizing manual tasks, and ensuring secure and accurate benefits for both staff and participants.


Responsibilities

  1. Manages team responsible for implementation of internal business administration to create and maintain user set up. Maintains content workflow across channels, member offers, recommendations, templates, queues, address books, and other key metadata for current CRM production, training, and test environments.
  2. Leads team and participates in technical projects and creation of necessary supporting documentation, tracks progress towards milestones, and keeps tabs on all the moving parts of agile planning and development cycles.
  3. Conducts and oversees team participation in system testing for major and minor releases. Documents defects, retests, and confirms fixes. Participates in production acceptance testing for all releases.
  4. Leads team and participates in backlog prioritizations and release planning for system related work including defects, enhancements, and new implementations for assigned applications/systems/processes.
  5. Participates in security compliance efforts (e.g., PCI and System Access Audits).
  6. Develops User support documentation and provides ongoing training and support to user community.
  7. Serves as a key point of contact with technology suppliers. Manages account, monitors contract compliance, and manages vendor invoices and tracks budget.

Qualifications

  1. HS Diploma / GED equivalent required.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Management.
  3. Deep experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, and familiarity with Marketing Cloud, including overseeing the maintenance and daily management, and design of customizations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  4. Strong technical knowledge of network and server operating systems.
  5. Experience supporting Windows Operating Systems, SQL Server and Active Directory.
  6. Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, development, and operations. Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  7. Strong understanding of Helpdesk and Customer Relations Support systems along with Data Security and Cyber Security basics.

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's degree in related field.

Hybrid Work Environment
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
