- eMotor Make Program Project Coordinator - Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to manage the comprehensive eMotor prototype build process for all Pre-series builds. The Project Coordinator will perform this role by efficiently accomplishing the following activities (Responsibilities include but not limited to):
- Organize and implement an executable plan to build all Pre-Series variants of the e-Motor program. Manage each element with respect to build location, configuration, phase, timing, quality, cost, and assembly process.
- Function as the overall representative from Chief Engineering group for all PRS build and test activities. Serve as the single point of contact for eMotor Pre-series parts ordering, part fitment, build process, supply issues, supply coordination, part quality, BOM, assembly issues, and all related documentation. Coordinate with the Pre-Series build team to provide all necessary BOM details for the Prototype assembly facility, Pilot, ITP, and Toluca.
- Manage a global component logistical pipeline to deliver finished eMotor assemblies that are on timeand on budget. Conduct strategic visits to supplier facilities to monitor build progress and ensure thatdeliverables are within scope. Set up and lead dedicated meetings with PRS and the supply base to address all shortfalls and risks observed. Concise status reports documented and communicated accordingly.
- Serve as the PRS “eMotor Interface” for Manufacturing, coordinating their feedback for all eMotor programs and build phases.
- Create and manage a Build Book for each eMotor assembly to define, record, and document all build related observations from component procurement through final EOL test.
- Executive-level communication of eMotor build status via publications suitable for broad distribution as needed.
- Other significant Project Coordinator responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Coordinating all eMotors/components supplied for DVP&R testing, including scheduling, parts delivery, and timing. Providing triage as required. Lead eMotor configuration management by variant (Cal level, specialized instrumentation, cabling, dyno integration). Support DRBTR reviews as required. Provide detailed planning, scheduling, and eMotor parts tracking within engineering.
- Accept, receipt, and dispersal within Labs of all returned eMotor builds and supporting interface components. (mis-builds, failures, etc.). Organizing and tracking parts, builds, and returns.
- Function as first responder and provide triage for eMotor issues reported from customer at Company (dyno/vehicle/test cell & SIL/HIL testing). Document test cell Operator / Technician concerns regarding eMotor products, ensuring issues are properly recorded.
- Coordinate with Virtual Engineering to ensure that physical validation testing results are communicated accordingly for full-circle analysis and model confirmation.

- Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Years of experience: 2-5 years minimum suggested ( strong electrical drive or powertrain background)
- Comprehensive understanding of PRS design, manufacturing, operation, and vehicle integration.
- Relevant PRS testing experience (dyno / EOL / spin-stand / component level / HIL/SIL, etc.)
- Organized with direct experience managing complex project scheduling assignments.
- Demonstrable written/verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to support regional and global travel as required to meet deliverables.
- Additional MUST HAVES:
- Self Motivated – able to understand the big picture and the steps necessary to find the best path to success
- Someone familiar with the Development Process
- Someone eager to physically go and work in-person with our labs and manufacturing teams – and ask questions and get their hands dirty working with the parts that make up our eMotors
- Not afraid to ask what might be considered “dumb questions” – which are rarely dumb and are necessary for learning.
- LOCATION & TRAVEL: 100% Onsite -90% - 100% Onsite – Split Locations Between:
- Auburn Hills (home location 50%),
- Indiana Transmission Plant (~20% to 40%),
- Toluca, MX Transmission Plant (~20% to 40%),
- Other Location (such as supplier plant, etc. – 0% to 10%)
