We are currently seeking a motivated Safety Coordinator to join our team!
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Experience working with illness and injuries both work and non-work related
- Familiarity and experience with Workers Compensation processes and systems
- Experience and knowledge with computer and safety management tools
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
- You will conduct inspections and verify safe work conditions including permitting
- You will conduct and coordinate formal hazard assessments and site audits on a regular basis
- You will be a key adviser for all safety related items within the businesses
- Structuring and facilitating the training programs for existing workers as they become due, ensuring we meet regulatory requirements
- You will conduct safety orientations with employees and sub-contractors as necessary
- Recognition and communication of at-risk behaviors
- Conduct accident investigations
- Provide ongoing support to employees and front-line management in the effective execution of HSE programs and initiatives
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with site/project management and ensure changes in operations, policies, and procedures are communicated, assessed, and controlled with management and employees
- Facilitate employee treatment as needed and ensure investigations are conducted
- Review site action plans and coordinate, assist and/or execute resolutions
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations
- Analyzing health and safety data
